Christian El-Khouri

Director, IPS Germany

Christian El-Khouri leads IPS Germany as the second generation of his family to do so. His father founded the company in 1983, and it has since accompanied more than 60,000 international patients to treatment in Germany.

His view of the field was formed operationally rather than theoretically. The company handled the entire international patient operation of the Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik in Wiesbaden for more than two decades, and the questions that preoccupy him now (how referral chains distort what a patient actually asked for, and why continuity of care so rarely survives the flight home) are the ones that surfaced at the bedside first.

He writes frequently on patient referral, healthcare compliance and destination development, and speaks internationally on the same subjects.
